Plot Types

Four types of land. Four roles in the game.

Type
Name
Buildable
Lock Period
You Receive
W
Standard Plot (includes 100 ocean plats)
Yes
18 months
Creator Allowance
P
Special Plot
No
3 months
Creator Allowance
A
Special Plot
No
12 months
Creator Allowance
B
Prism Plot
No
N/A
25 Prism Allowances per release, up to 10x (250 total)

Type W is the only plot where buildings and NREPs can be placed. Building slots vary per plot. This is where the game happens.

Type P and Type A cannot be developed but are valuable for their staking terms and historical value. Type P is the fastest path to a Creator Allowance at 3 months.

Type B is one of the gateway to Prism. No staking, no locking. Each release grants 25 Prism Allowances.

Staking explained: Staking registers your plot on the platform. Without staking, you own the NFT but it's not active in-world. Locking commits it for a set period and releases a Creator Allowance, giving you the right to create and operate Personas on Neo.

Where to buy: Remaining plots available on Versa with $MDR. Secondary market at OpenSea.

Buildings

Place a card. Start the game.

Place one on a Type W plot and the game begins. Each building starts with a Plot Development Index (PDI) based on its type and where it's placed. From there, it's up to you. Keep it fueled and PDI climbs. Neglect it and PDI falls. Let the tank run empty and the building is derelict. Destroy it and start again.

How Building PDI works:

What
How it affects PDI
Building type
Sets the base PDI ratio and energy consumption rate
Terrain placement
Affects building rating (slopes, level ground, water, towers, homes)
Energy in the tank
PDI scales with how full the tank is. Full tank = maximum output
Cumulative energy consumed
The longer a building has been running, the more PDI it has earned
Neglect
Tank drains, PDI drops. 50 days of neglect can wipe out a year of growth
Empty tank
PDI hits zero. Building must be destroyed and replaced

What affects Building PDI:

  • Cumulative energy consumed (only goes up)
  • Daily consumption rate (fixed per building type)
  • PDI ratio (fixed at creation)
  • Current tank level vs total capacity

The story: PDI rewards consistency over time. A well-maintained building steadily climbs but gains slow down. An old building that stays full outperforms a new one. But stop feeding it and everything unravels fast.

Building types are rated by terrain:

  • Slopes
  • Level ground
  • Water buildings
  • Towers and skyscrapers
  • Single-family homes

Coming soon: Personas will be able to own buildings, increasing their status levels.

NREPs & Energy

Extract. Convert. Power.

Each Natural Resource Extraction Plant (NREP) is assigned to the natural resources on your land. It extracts resources and converts them into energy, denominated in Joules. Personas fill labour slots on NREPs and earn wages in Joules.

How NREP PDI works:

What
How it affects PDI
Labour slots
More slots means more Personas working.
Wages per Persona (in Joules)
Wages attract Personas to your land.
Remaining resources
PDI is proportional to how much is left. As resources deplete, PDI declines
Resources exhausted
NREP PDI drops to zero. The extraction is over
PDI ratio
Fixed at creation. Sets the base multiplier

The story: NREP PDI starts strong and declines as resources are consumed. A plot with abundant resources holds its PDI longer. Resource management is strategy. Extract too fast and your advantage disappears.

Energy

The currency of the Habitat.

Everything in the Habitat runs on energy, denominated in Joules. Buildings consume it to stay active. Personas consume it to survive. Without energy, buildings go dark and Personas leave.

Where it comes from

  • Extracted from natural resources via NREPs

Where it goes

  • Powers buildings (maintains PDI)
  • Feeds Personas (keeps them on your land)
  • Pays Persona wages at NREPs

How it moves

  • Tradeable on the marketplace
  • Can be sold and purchased by Commercial Accounts and Personas
  • Earned by Personas through NREP labour

Energy is the fuel of the entire Habitat. Everything depends on it.

Natural Resources

Energy, strategy,
and the land beneath your feet.

Natural resources are embedded within certain plots and give land utility, strategic value, and development potential. When paired with a qualifying Natural Resource Extraction Plant (NREP), these resources convert into energy that powers buildings and strengthens the value of your land.

Oil

Liquid fuel · Million SCF

A high-output baseline fuel source across the Habitat. Powerful but carries the heaviest pollution burden in the system.

⚡ 0.8× – 1.5×High pollution

Natural Gas

Gaseous fuel · Million SCF

A versatile fuel with broad practical use. Far cleaner than Oil while still requiring active pollution management.

⚡ 1.0× – 1.7×Moderate pollution

Melange

Premium extractable · Metric Tons

A valuable mid-tier resource with solid energy potential. Balanced between output and environmental cost.

⚡ 2.0× – 4.5×Low pollution

Mythralloy

Dense industrial · Metric Tons

A dense material that converts efficiently into energy with a low pollution profile — attractive for long-term extraction.

⚡ 1.8× – 3.8×Low pollution

Aetherium

Rare atmospheric gas · Million SCF

A rare atmospheric resource with premium energy efficiency and one of the cleanest operational footprints available.

⚡ 2.5× – 6.5×Low pollution

Staquadah

High-conductivity element · Metric Tons

A highly efficient conductive resource with exceptional energy potential per unit. Near-zero pollution output.

⚡ 4.0× – 13.0×Minimal pollution

Havarium

Ultra-rare ore · Kilograms

An ultra-rare resource with extraordinary energy potency relative to its size. The cleanest and most premium resource in the system.

⚡ 35× – 140×Minimal pollution

Glimmeryne

Volatile radiant gas · Metric Tons

A powerful resource with strong strategic value, but the second-highest pollution burden in the system. Potent but expensive to run.

⚡ 3.0× – 9.0×High pollution

Manage pollution with offset credits.

Each resource produces pollution when extracted and converted into energy. If pollution reaches its maximum, production halts until offset credits are purchased. Cleaner resources require far less management — making them valuable strategic assets beyond raw energy output.

Personas in the Habitat

Build it and they will come.

AI Personas with Deepen Life activated are born into the Habitat. Higher PDI plots have a greater chance of becoming a birthplace. Once born, they settle in. They rent buildings, paying you to stay. They fill labour slots at NREPs, earning wages in Joules. They roam the land and attract human visitors. Humans who discover them may pay to interact, generating activity on your land. More residents means more life. More life means more value. Let your land degrade and they leave.

Why Personas matter to your land:

What they do
What it means for you
Born on your plot
Your land becomes a birthplace, boosting prestige
Rent buildings
Direct income from Persona tenants
Fill labour slots
NREPs stay productive, PDI stays strong
Roam your land
Human visitors follow them to you
Humans pay to interact
Activity and economy on your land grows
Numbers increase
Your plot's desirability rises
Land degrades
They leave. Activity drops. PDI falls.

What's Coming

The Habitat is just getting started.

The land is live. The mechanics are running. But what you see today is the foundation. Here's where the Habitat is heading.

Multiple paths to prestige

One leaderboard isn't enough. Soon there will be many ways to lead. Most sustainable plot. Most visited. Best energy network. Highest persona retention. Strongest cultural district. You don't have to be #1 overall. You just have to be #1 at something.

Personas that choose

Personas will develop preferences. Some will prefer sustainable areas. Some will seek dense social zones. Some will become attached to districts and refuse to leave. Others will walk away if the area degrades. Their choices will reshape the leaderboard.

Districts and rivalry

Plots won't exist in isolation. Neighboring plots will influence each other. Clusters will form districts. Districts will compete for reputation. One thriving plot lifts its neighbors. One polluted plot drags them down. Cooperation and competition will coexist.

Seasons

The Habitat will run in seasons. Each season brings a fresh narrative, temporary objectives, and limited rewards. Season of Foundations. Season of Energy. Season of Arrival. Season of Culture. A reason to come back every time.

World events

Energy shortages. Migration waves. Environmental stress. New rare resources discovered. Cultural festivals. Infrastructure decay. The Habitat will interrupt you. Something happened. Now what do you do?

Visible progression

Your plot will evolve visually. Remote Plot. Emerging Settlement. Recognized District. Prestige Habitat. Legendary Place. Watch your land transform as you build.

Persona ownership

Personas will own buildings, generate income, and gain status levels. Their success becomes your success. The more they thrive, the more your land thrives.

Collectible identity

Badges. Owner titles. Plot titles. Seasonal banners. Founder marks. Landmark buildings. Famous resident Personas. Historical achievements. Proof of what you built and when you built it.

Real land. Real economics. Real consequences.

Every decision you make shapes your land, your residents, and your ranking. The Personas are watching. The leaderboard is live. Build something worth living in.

The Fine Print

You own your land. Plots are NFTs. They live on-chain. Remaining plots are available on Versa with $MDR. Previously sold plots can be traded on OpenSea. Your plot, your asset.
Stake to play. Plots must be staked to be active in-world. Without staking, you own the NFT but nothing happens on the platform.
Lock to earn. Lock your staked plot to receive a Creator Allowance — the right to create and operate Personas on Neo. Type W: 15 months. Type P: 3 months. Type A: 12 months.
Type B unlocks Prism. Type B plots grant 25 Prism Allowances per release, up to 10 times for 250 total. No staking required. This is how you enter Prism.
Only Type W is buildable. Buildings and NREPs can only be placed on Type W plots. All other plot types serve different functions but cannot be developed.
Buildings reward maintenance. Every building starts generating PDI based on its type and terrain. Keep it fueled and PDI climbs. Neglect it and PDI drops. Empty tank means the building is derelict and must be replaced.
Resources run out. Natural resources are finite. Extract them wisely. Once a resource is fully depleted, it is gone and the NREP PDI tied to it drops to zero.
Pollution has consequences. Every extraction produces pollution. Hit the maximum and production halts. Offset credits must be purchased monthly to keep things running. Cleaner resources cost less to manage.
Energy is everything. Energy is denominated in Joules. It powers buildings, feeds Personas, and pays wages. No energy means no activity. It can be earned, purchased, and traded on the marketplace.
Personas choose where to live. AI Personas with Deepen Life are born at high-PDI plots. They settle in, rent buildings, fill labour slots, and roam the land. Let your land degrade and they leave.
Your land earns. Personas pay rent to landowners. Humans who discover Personas on your land may pay to interact with them. More residents means more activity means more value.
Rankings are live. PDI recalculates every 24 hours. Rankings update daily. The steward who builds and maintains the most desirable land climbs the fastest.
All transactions are final. On-chain transactions cannot be reversed. This includes plot purchases, staking, locking, and marketplace trades.
No platform fees on trades. The marketplace charges no listing or transaction fees. On-chain gas fees still apply.
